Since updating to ver 7, I have been having difficulty with some computers being "grayed out" in the Admin/Diags console yet I am 100% positive they are turned on and not firewall blocked.  Any ideas where to look first?  My apologies if I have posted in the wrong section, pretty much a noob at the forum thing.  Thanks in advance.

The way Goverlan works is that it will first ping the machine. If the machine answers, then it will query its OS information.

If the machine is not pingable, Goverlan sets its icon to GREY. So the first thing to check is if the machine is pingable.

Open a command prompt and ping the machine by its NetBIOS name, then by its DNS name and make sure that you are a valid response.

Thanks Pascal.  I discovered that even though I had turned off the Windows firewall, something turned it back on on serveral computers.  Once I turned it off again, no more problem.  I also learned that Symantec Endpoint protection (SEP) automatically blocks pinging the machine.. something else to keep in mind.  Again, thanks for the help and speedy reply. Am enjoying ver 7.. excellent so far.
